Dobbs has completed six of 12 passes for 43 yards and no touchdowns with one interception in five career appearances but his numbers at faculty were impressive. The 24-year-old 614 of 999 passes with 53 touchdowns and 29 interceptions. In addition, he ran for 2,160 yards and 32 touchdowns.
The Dobbs trade leaves a void in the Pittsburgh roster. Mason Rudolph will be Ben Roethlisberger’s primary backup for the rest of the season but a third chance, although they don’t dress on match days is always carried by the Steelers. The team will sign a free agent quarterback to replace Dobbs, unless their normal doctrine changes.
Devlin Hodges is an option, he spent training camp and the preseason with the group and played although they might not want to be third-stringers and Brock Osweiler and Paxton Lynch are available.
